Manny Pacquiao's November opponent Antonio Margarito represents several fresh challenges for the 7 weight champion. He's the tallest fighter Pacquiao has ever faced, and the heaviest. He has also only ever been stopped once, and under mitigating circumstances, and never backs down from any opponent.
Aside from Margarito himself though, many fans are growing concerned with reports of missed training days, niggling injuries and basketball instead of rest and recuperation coming from the Pacquiao camp.
Some are even questioning whether Pacquiao has lost his desire or whether he perhaps believes Margarito is an easy opponent he can take it easy in training for.
But is all of this really anything to worry about?
If this were just about any other fighter, then the answer might be yes.
In Pacquiao's case though playing basketball more often than his trainers would like and missing the odd day of training isn't anything new. And it certainly doesn't mean that he is taking Margarito lightly or that he has lost his focus.
