When I heard of the news that boxing promoter Bob Arum's son has gone missing, I did not care much about it. I did not have any clue who his son was, as he always stood behind the limelight of his famous father.
Upon hearing the news this morning (Sept. 4, 2010) that his son was found dead in one Washington state mountainside, then it caught my attention on who Bob Arum’s son really was. John Arum, 49, was an environmental lawyer and an experienced mountain climber. His body was spotted at the 7,700-foot level of Storm King Mountain after a five day search. With his son’s sad fate, Mr. Bob Arum canceled the three-city promotional tour for the upcoming Pacquiao-Margarito fight.
A much awaited event is about to happen but then comes some inevitable circumstance.
I remembered a similar fate, when my sister was about to get married. Tedious preparations were done by her and her fiancée. An unfortunate news came. A few days before their wedding, the brother of my sister’s fiancée passed away.
My then brother–in-law was in so much pain at that time.I really felt the grief of my brother-in-law on that moment.
It is painful to lose someone you love how much more the loss of a son.
So I express my deepest condolences to the Arum's.
Eternal repose grant unto him Oh Lord, and let your perpetual light shine upon him. May He rest in peace.
